Preparation for Worship
It is important that when we come to church we feel free to chat to each other - indeed this is a very important part of our fellowship together - it is also important to remind ourselves that we have come to worship and to quieten ourselves. Those of us who lead worship need that time and space as well. Can I ask that we leave the vestry and chapel free for those leading worship for fifteen minutes before worship and leave all questions and conversations with them and other business until after the service. If you have a question connected with the service please talk to the warden on duty.
Can I also suggest that we all respect a time of silence for two or three minutes before the service. The musicians will stop playing and a bell will be rung to signify the start of this time - you could use the preparation section to help you prepare if you wish.
Thank you all Clive.
£££££££££££ Stewardship $$$$$$$$$$$$
The PCC felt that due to the current economic climate they would not run a stewardship campaign this year so you can breathe a sigh of relief - BUT - please do reconsider what you are able to give. Church costs have gone up as much as domestic costs and we are in quite a difficult financial situation. If you have any questions about this or better still ideas for fund raising please speak to Ted or Clive.
Look out !!!!!!!! There is a PCC Member about - and they are looking for volunteers to join teams to help keep the church clean and to prepare it for each service - it may be safer to volunteer first!!!!!!!!

Mediative Prayer
We have tried 'Julian Group' and 'Sacred Space' which for different reasons have not worked well but I know that there are still people interested in mediative prayer. Perhaps we could create a space in chruch and meet for mediative prayer. If you are interested please speak to Maureen or Clive.
Sunday School needs your help!
In order that we are complying fully with child pretection safeguards we need to have two adults with the children when they go out. If you are willing to be a second adult with the children - no more than once a month - please talk to Maureen.
Courtyard - fortnightly work party
We are pleased to let you know that work on the courtyard has finished and we now have a newly turfed lawn and plants.
Messy Time
Messy Time is a time of activities for families - that's the messy bit, followed by a short time of suitable worship and finishing with a tea. Anyone who is interested please speak to Clive or Katrina.
Flowers
June and Rosemary are making an excellent job of providing and arranging flowers and plants for the church. They will place a list at the back of the church and invite you to sign up for a particular date and to either provide the flowers or give them money for them. Plants and flowers enchance our worship greatly and can act as a memorial to a loved one or as a token of celebration for a birthday, the gift of a child or an anniversary.
Cleaning
Our team of cleaners has now dwindled to two or three people. It is not fair to expect them to do all that is needed so if you can spare a couple of hours a week to come along and help please speak to Julia or Corrinne.
